Alex, who calls herself a 'hot cougar', loves dating younger men and showing off her body in tiny bikinis but the 56-year-old claims trolls tell her she's too old to be 'sexy'
A self-declared cougar has hit out at trolls who tell her older women can't be "sexy" as she claims to be proof women can be "desirable" at any age.
Alex, an interior designer and raunchy content creator from Aspen, Colorado, can often be seen flaunting her toned body in tiny bikinis on social media. But while the single 56-year-old, who describes herself as a "hot cougar", claims younger men are always flirting with her she revealed not everyone has the same response to her racy outfits.
Taking to TikTok, where she's known by the nickname Aspen Cougar, Alex said trolls have told her "You can't be sexy over 50". But in the video, she hit back at critics as she swayed around in a gold sequin ball gown that clung to her curves and featured a plunging neckline.
Alex traced her hands down her cleavage before lifting her dress up to her thighs to show off the stiletto heels and stockings she was wearing underneath. She captioned the post: "Women can be hot and desirable at any age. Own your age!"
In another video shared to her Instagram, Alex revealed she's also been told by keyboard warriors that she's "too old to wear a bikini". But she defied their comments in the clip as she pranced around in a skimpy black cut-out thong bikini and matching black sun hat.
“I’m old enough to do as I please," she wrote alongside the post. When it comes to dealing with cruel comments, Alex revealed she usually just ignores trolls.
She told The Sun: "I tell them I have earned the right to do as I damn well please and then I block them." She also opened up about her cougar lifestyle, revealing she's dated men as young as 19.
Recalling how she started dating younger men, she said: "For the past several years, whenever I went out with my girlfriends, I was frequently getting hit on by men in their 20s and 30s, and rarely by men my age or older. It was extremely flattering and I embraced it."
Alex revealed younger men, who she calls "cubbies", are "eager learners" and she loves to share her "knowledge and experience" with them. While she claims she's not opposed to dating men her own age, Alex said she struggles to find any she's attracted to.
But she explained younger men are able to keep up with her stamina. "Many younger gentlemen have amazing energy, enthusiasm, and I love how complimentary they are towards me, they express gratitude for spending time with me. I’m a high-energy lady and enjoy how vibrant they are," she said.
